Chinese Hamsters - Long Tail, Short Temper

Originally found in the deserts of Mongolia and Southern China, the Chinese Hamster is often called the Rat-Like Hamster due to their long tails and long, thin body. Chinese Hamsters can be aggressive, with the female being the more aggressive of the two, although many people own very social Chinese hamsters.

Chinese hamsters are commonly classified as dwarf hamsters, although this is a matter of debate.  The Chinese hamster belongs to the genus Cricetulus, while the other dwarf hamsters belong to the genus Phodopus, so it's really down to semantics as to whether or not you call the Chinese hamster a dwarf hamster.

Yo, I've had my hamsters for over a year and they have ever bitten anyone. They also sometimes like to have a tongue-bath from my dog.
