Enclosed Plastic Hamster Cages

Plastic Hamster CageYou may have seen this type of hamster cage around as they are hard to miss – brightly colored, with lots of round tubes sticking out of the tops and sides. Sections can be added over time, allowing you to create large hamster habitats. This type of hamster cage can be a lot of fun for an adventurous dwarf hamster, but can prove a bit of a tight squeeze for larger Syrians or pregnant hamsters. Even with dwarf hamsters the vertical tubes can sometimes prove too much of a challenge, so to start with it’s a better idea to get the side tube attachments.

As you might expect, this type of hamster cage is more expensive than the standard wire hamster cage. With its sealed environment, it does provide protection from drafts, although it can prove difficult to take apart and clean. Keep in mind that the basic rules of hamster cages still apply; this means that you’ll need to have at least one large area for the hamster to exercise and play in, and another area for nesting.

I myself like the cages of critter trail because I have a dwarf and I've got one of the newest critter trails u have 2 choices to get (this) cage in big or small (the small is very big to let you know) So I got the small cage at a petland store at my mall she enjoys the tubes very much, sticks bedding in them herself and just falls right alseep ;) She loves em and mine comes with a silent wheel YES

I've got three cages by critter trail. I haven't had any problems with them. You do need to be careful when cleaning, but so far the only breakage was from dropping one the first night home. I like being able to connect the cages together, my hammies love running the toobs. Just make sure you stay away from the Hartz cage if you want to connect, it is the only one with attachments (that I can find) that won't work with the others. I had to use duct tape to attach it to the others. I don't recomend the Critter Trail Revolution either, not for dwarfs anyway.

I bought a Crittertrail 2 and I am returning soon. It breaks down everytime I try to clean it and change the bedding.

I think the crittertrail cages are too small.

I got something that's almost identical to that; It came with the same wheel, it's the same color, etc
