Hamster Constantly jumping/falling off 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I am worried because Hammy, my hamster is constantly falling or jumping (not sure which) off of things, High things. Like the couch and bed. I have only had him for about a month and I would say like once a week he does this. It worries me because I don't want him to get hurt. Last week he climbed the bars of his 3 level cage (at least 2 feet tall) and fell REALLY hard on his wheel. Or 2 weeks ago he ran and DOVE off of my bed. He has also started trying to jump out of my hands, off my shoulder, and back.

I know hamsters do not have very good eye sight. Should this be something I should be concerned about.

Also, Hammy has started, just this past week trying to run around the house. Just today he jumped off the couch and ran under it and under the Christmas presents. Now the good thing is he listens fairly well and he came to me after only like 2 minutes of calling him. But I am so afraid that he wont come to me and get lost, before I would be able to let him run around the couch, or bed and he would climb on me and run around.

Anyone have any tips or information?
Thanks,
Jessica
