It is perfectly safe to give your hamster sunflower seeds, but like mentioned above all in moderation. Oils are difficult for small rodents to digest, if you give you hamster oils such as in nuts beware of how much your hamster takes in.  I have two teddy bear hamsters... a white one named Hammy and a black one named Bear they are wonderful loving creatures and they can become the best of pets. Make sure you feed them and care for them as if they were a dog, a cat or even a baby. If you arent sure about something make sure not to do it and research it until you find it about... Good Luck!
