the hamster may be stressed from his arrival but dont worry many hamster's are nocturnal and he will awake at night and play as far as the other one goes he's probably trying to figure out everything in his new enviroment  
 
and you can use clorox wipes as long as you rinse your cage out really well with a garden hose
