Hi Everyone  
I Have a syrian hamster and ive had it for 3 weeks now  
i try to pick it up but it bites me everytime even though i wash my hands before handling her  
i dont know what im doing wrong ! 
i dont know what she wont let me hold her cos ive had her for ages now  
everytime i pick her up i have to put food on my hand to stop her biting me  
but laytly ive been trying it without food and she just wont stop biting me !! 
any one got any advice ?/

How old are your hamsters? Because if they are still young, you could do a "systemic dis sensitization" where in you would just be touching them for a few days then after that try to hold them not long for a few days then after that i bet you can now hold them without getting bitten. It's like getting to know them first and saying that you are their friend.that's what i do
